who am i?
I’ll start by stating I am a proud Colorado girl. My Subaru Forester sums it up with its University of Colorado alum sticker, Broncos license plate frame, and plenty of space for my snowboard gear. As much as I dearly love my home state, I took a crazy leap and moved to Sacramento, California a few days into 2016. That’s where my story and new life adventure begins.
I’m a digital marketer*. After years of hoping and months of determinately searching for a job within my dream career, I landed a position at a digital marketing agency. In fact, the reason the company hired me was not my resume, it was this blog and the efforts I expressively put into it. I have dived right into managing multiple social media accounts and promoting client brands via creative and strategic content. I am constantly sharpening my social marketing skills and keeping up-to-date with the latest digital trends. To put it simply, I love my job.
I’m a budgeter establishing a place to call home in a new city. Money may be a little tight right now, though I don’t let it interrupt day-to-day joys and living life to its fullest. I love transforming this apartment into a home, which includes less than Pinterest-perfect DIY projects and needing supervision while at Target.
I’m a dog mom. That’s right, I freely use the terminology. Ollie is my beloved four-year-old English Setter and you can find him via Instagram hashtag #olliethedog. I am his official photographer and agent, and he pays me with snuggles and drool. He’s been my sidekick since he was eight weeks old and I can’t possibly imagine my life without him.
I’m a girl in love. My boyfriend and I met when we both lived in Denver and after he moved back to Northern California, we were in a long distance relationship for five months. Now that I’ve accepted my dream job and joined him here in Sacramento, we are settling into our first home together. We’re that cliché couple living in a small apartment with our dog child and financially getting on our feet. I don’t even deny it, I sincerely embrace this cliché because it’s with the love of my life.
